This is an individual project. I designed a guidebook for the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, tailoring the herbarium exhibition to a group of specific audience passionate about plants. The design encompasses 12 pages, with 8 pages in standard letter size featuring general content such as history, profile, admission fees, hours, contact information, gift shop, and permanent exhibits. Additionally, the guidebook includes 4 smaller pages dedicated exclusively to the details of the unique herbarium exhibition.

Research

Through research, I identified a specific group of individuals who would be interested in the Beaty Biodiversity Museum. By developing a persona and a mood board, I gained valuable insights that will guide the design process, ensuring that the guidebook resonates with the intended audience and effectively conveys the museum's content. This approach enhances the overall user experience and ensures that the guidebook is tailored to meet the needs and interests of its readers.

After the research, I decided to use two vibrant green tones and two warm shades of orange, which were reflected from the official colors of Beaty Biodiversity Museum. And I chose the Roca font for headings and subheadings in the beauty biodiversity museum guidebook because of its carefully handcrafted design, exudes a refined elegance reminiscent of calligraphy and lettering, embodying the meticulous beauty found in the natural world.

Let's get close to each page of the guidebook design.
